Protect Your Patients from Influenza
Order flu vaccine for the 2024-2025 season
National Influenza Vaccination Week
Vaccination is the most effective tool available to prevent severe respiratory illness and hospitalization. Nationally, there were 28,000 flu-related death in the 2023-2024 season and 205 pediatric flu-related deaths were reported for the 2023-2024 season. Everyone 6 months and older still have time to get the flu vaccine this season. Continue to recommend immunization at every visit.
Below, review eligibility recommendations from the CDC and stay updated on flu products available to order through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program and Vaccines for Adults at Risk (VFAAR) program.
When placing flu orders, please remember:
- You do not have to complete a reconciliation.
Submit your temperature data. Upload the CSV file into PhilaVax. Email the LTD file to tempcheck@phila.gov.

Recommendation for Flu Immunization and Co-Administration
CDC recommends:
- Everyone aged six months and older should get an annual influenza vaccination.
- If needed, influenza and other vaccines (e.g., COVID-19 vaccine, RSV vaccine) may be given at the same visit.
- Infants six months and older may receive influenza and COVID-19 vaccines at the same visit when they receive the RSV preventive antibody, nirsevimab.
