Ensure Pediatric Patients are Protected Against COVID-19

Nationally, COVID-19 activity is increasing from low levels. Continuing to vaccinate is important in protecting vulnerable individuals, such as infants, against the disease.

Infants and children between 6 months and 23 months of age are at high risk of severe COVID-19. Children with certain medical conditions, such as asthma and congenital heart disease, are at particularly high risk for severe COVID-19.

Data support the continued effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccination in children. A recent report showed that 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccines provided children with additional protection against COVID-19-associated emergency department or urgent care (ED/UC) encounters compared with no 2024-2025 vaccination.
