Penmenvy (Meningococcal Groups A, B, C, W, and Y) Now Available Through VFC

Penmenvy (Meningococcal Groups A, B, C, W, and Y) Now Available Through VFC

On February 14, 2025, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved GSK’s MenABCWY vaccine, Penmenvy, for use in individuals aged 10 through 25 years.

Penmenvy (meningococcal groups A, B, C, W, and Y vaccine) is now available through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. The vaccine is supplied as a box of 10-dose kits, with single-dose vials and pre-filled syringes for reconstitution. Penmenvy (meningococcal groups A, B, C, W, and Y vaccine) is a combination vaccine with 2 active components: Menveo (meningococcal groups A, C, W, and Y vaccine) and Bexsero (meningococcal group B vaccine).

To add this formulation to your office’s list of vaccines, use the button below to complete a change request form.

Our team will review your request and reply with next steps. We recommend that providers that are affiliated or part of a system use the same vaccine presentations across sites to ensure standardization and help prevent administration errors.

Penmenvy may be administered in place of separate MCV4 (quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine) and MenB (meningococcal B vaccine) vaccines when both are indicated. As a reminder, MenB vaccines are not interchangeable.*

The same vaccine (either Bexsero by GSK or Trumenba by Pfizer) must be used for all doses in the MenB series, including booster doses. If a patient begins the series with Penmenvy, they must complete it with Bexsero (MenB-4C, GSK). Penmenvy cannot be used in combination with Trumenba (MenB-FHbp, Pfizer).

*The MenACWY components (i.e., Menveo and MenQuadfi) are interchangeable.
