Nationally, CDC reports\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/fluview\/surveillance\/2025-week-08.html#:~:text=12%20influenza%2Dassociated%20deaths%0Awere%20reported%20this%20week%20for%0Aa%20total%20of%2098%20deaths%20this%20season\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/fluview\/surveillance\/2025-week-08.html#:~:text=12%20influenza%2Dassociated%20deaths%0Awere%20reported%20this%20week%20for%0Aa%20total%20of%2098%20deaths%20this%20season\">98 pediatric deaths\u00a0<\/a>this season. This\u00a0season is now classified as a high severity season for all age groups (children, adults, older adults) for the first time since 2017-2018 with an estimate of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/fluview\/surveillance\/2025-week-08.html#:~:text=CDC%20estimates%20that%20there%20have%20been%20at%20least%2037%20million%20illnesses%2C%20480%2C000%20hospitalizations%2C%20and%2021%2C000%20deaths%20from%20flu%20so%20far%20this%20season.\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/fluview\/surveillance\/2025-week-08.html#:~:text=CDC%20estimates%20that%20there%20have%20been%20at%20least%2037%20million%20illnesses%2C%20480%2C000%20hospitalizations%2C%20and%2021%2C000%20deaths%20from%20flu%20so%20far%20this%20season.\">21,000 deaths<\/a>\u00a0from flu so far this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s not too late to vaccinate!
