{"id":11077,"date":"2024-02-02T13:34:50","date_gmt":"2024-02-02T18:34:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vaccines.phila.gov\/?post_type=lsvr_notice&#038;p=8822"},"modified":"2025-01-15T09:59:46","modified_gmt":"2025-01-15T14:59:46","slug":"reminder-for-bridge-access-providers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vaccines.phila.gov\/index.php\/reminder-for-bridge-access-providers\/","title":{"rendered":"Reminder for Bridge Access Providers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reminder for Bridge Access Providers<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Only adults 18 and over who are <strong>uninsured<\/strong> or <strong>underinsured<\/strong> are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine under the Bridge Access Program (BAP).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Screening an individual for eligibility before giving a BAP COVID-19 dose is a requirement outlined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/vaccines.phila.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/BAP-provider-agreement.pdf\">provider agreement.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Uninsured:<\/strong> an individual who does not have health insurance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Underinsured:<\/strong> an individual with health insurance, but the insurance does not cover the total cost of a COVID-19 vaccine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any individual with health insurance that covers the <strong>total <\/strong>cost of a COVID-19 vaccine would be <strong>ineligible<\/strong> for a BAP dose. Many insurance plans will cover the cost of the COVID-19 vaccine, including Medicaid, Medicare, and some private health insurance plans. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Notes:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Redistribution of the COVID-19 vaccine is not permitted under the BAP. Unauthorized redistribution of Bridge doses may result in a suspension or termination from the program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your practice has multiple locations, you will not be able to redistribute doses between the locations.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Every site interested in being enrolled in the BAP must complete enrollment individually.
